In 1991, a few years after beginning work as a cinema projectionist, Mungo realized acting was his passion. Emerging from the shadows of a dark projection box, he began his studies at The Actors Workshop.

Between 1996 and 2002 he appeared in over 60 short films, television, and a large variety of stage plays and feature films, including INSPECTOR GADGET 2, WASTE and now Peter and Michael Spierig's UNDEAD. His vast body of work has established him as a versatile and well-respected actor.

In 2001 he began to train as a screen actor's teacher under the tutelage of Lyn Kidd and now is a qualified teacher for THE ACTORS WORKSHOP. Within his teaching pursuits, Mungo is also learning the intricacies of directing actors for the screen.
